Mark,
I just got back into the house from a full day of playing (oops, working) in the dirt. The septic contractor left a mess after he covered the new field lines up. It has been raining here for almost 3 weeks straight, wich left all the tennessee clay a mire pit. But, to my advantage, we have gotten a cold snap here for the past 4 days, which has made grading the clay perfect. We have about 2" of frost line.
As far as my FEL, I went with a 60" bucket with no teeth. In my opinion, I would not go any smaller than a 60", due to the fact that the 60" is only a few bucks more than the smaller ones, and the tractor can handle the load without any problems. I have been moving 300# rocks all day and frozen clay. Can get a full to over flowing bucket load every time and the tractor does not strain to lift it. Just remember to keep your load low during transport. I have a Woods GB60 on the TPH for counter balance and the R4's are not filled. (they will be by next weekend, though)
