I've owned quite a few tractors, newest one being a 2013 until I purchased this Massey Ferguson 4707. Love the tractor so far, but way different than the New Holland and Kubotas I had before (newer technology) I was **** bent on a Kubota M4, but bought this tractor loaded up for thousands less, obviously not color blind.

The only thing that I noticed right off. If i nail the throttle it doesn't rev nearly as quick as the previous tractor. Dealer told me the newer emissions are responsible for this, any truth to that? It is 25hp more than I've ever had, but the motor isn't a massive jump in liters either. Best way I can compare it is revving my 6.7 diesel pickup versus a 12 liter over the road tractor. Vastly different. Has all the power I need once there, just want to make sure this is normal. Also tried setting the throttle up to 1100 or so rpms. It's a little better, but still. Not looking for drag car response, but something like before in my tractors.

It is absolutely true. Its especially noticable until engine warms up. The emissions have slowed response. You will get used to it. One thing I do is set the auto button to 1200rpm, that way the response from that point is much better since turbo is already working. The only way to change this is through tuning. Ekotuning has the best tune for these tractors and can take hp up to 100.

Yep you heard correctly. My 2015 Massey 1742 (power shuttle) with a 3 cylinder turbo Mitsubishi with DPF was slugish 'off the line'.

My 2019 Massey 1755 (hydrostat) with the 2.2 intercooled turbo Shibaura with direct injection (so NO emissions) spools up just like one would expect it to.

Awesome!!! Thanks for the reply's!! I didn't think he would steer me wrong, but wanted 1st hand knowledge!! I did find it to be better starting from a higher rpm. Once it's spooled up there is no issue at all!! Thanks again!!
