What an amazing resource! Wish I'd found this forum half a dozen years ago.. Impressed by Cub's ad copy talking up it's heavier gauge steel frame I bought my 1st riding mower, a brandy new Cub Cadet. Within a year that Cub was throwing belts with every use. I was mad enough to spit nails.
Starting to warm up here in middle TN. Took a look at the yard and realized after 5yrs of paying a service to mow, I had way more weeds than grass coming up. Can't aerate and prepare w/o a lawn tractor, so I found a decent deal at the nearby Sears outlet. Waiting for a Husky YTH24K48D to get delivered. 'Course I didn't find the forum until I'd already paid my money, duh. Too late to ask for recommendations now...
Reading up on how to keep the new mower up & running I stumbled across the epic K46 rebuild thread started by LotsofGreenGrass. I'm just knocked out. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of the forum's experience & advice to keep the new Husky "on the road".
Thx in advance,
Dan in TN
