New neighbors!

Well actually only one of the horses is new (distant left), but it was the first time they've been allowed in the field adjoining our property. Come spring they go to the back lot so the field can be hayed during the growing season.

They were pretty frisky as you can see here.

Nice picture. Looks like some pretty high dollar neighbors that you have there. Is that the normal height for the grass this time of the year? It looks like it was just mowed with a finish mower.

Country views and beautiful. I really like Shenandoah valley, actually going to camp there with boy scouts this weekend.

Ha! The "neighbors" are retired. The most recent addition has a deep swayback and saddle wear marks. I think he may have been in law enforcement.

The foreground is the front of my property. Last I mowed it was Sept. 25. I remember because my daughter had her wedding ceremony down there four days later.

It's barely growed since, been so dry. Until just 3 days ago, we had only one significant day of rain since August. Mower is gathering dust.

The other fields were hayed early September, last time for this season. That's why they are greener.
