I've occasionally been to this forum to read answers to other folks' questions when I had the same question. This group is a great resource.
I grew up in the rural South, but was never on a tractor until about eight years ago, after I retired from the Navy and my wife and I found a place to settle. Lots to be done, and shovel and swing blade were just not getting the job done. I bought a 64 Ford 2000 and enough implements to clear and plow and make a garden. A little like "Green Acres." I am NOT a lawyer.
We recently bought a 66(?) Ford 4000 diesel, and have learned to love it. Lots I don't know, and I will probably be here often.
Oh, I also bought recently purchased a Case 1845 skid steer that seems to be in fair shape. Getting a crash course in diesels and hydraulics.
I am learning. Slowly.
