Hello, Mike from Ohio here. Not very mechanical but have several friends that are. I recently have purchased several older Simplicity mowers, the most recent one a Conquest 18hp/50 cut. Looks like its in good condition but maybe the engine had some problems as the ID label is melted and the top of the engine cover is spray painted black and it has a 16hp Vanguard air filter cover on it. Anyway it is very nice but needs some more RPM痴. Have adjusted the throttle cable but that did not seem to help. Looking forward to many enjoyable afternoons on this mower. A big step up from my older 12.5hp simplicity.
