New Okie??? Glad to have you join us. And your title reminds me of a math teacher I had in Marlow, OK, in the early to mid-50s. He said an Okie is a migrant agricultural worker and when he was in the Navy, he made it known that he did not like to be called an Okie. Of course he said, as a result, he went all through his tour in the Navy with the nickname of "Okie".
And I was born in Carter County, about 5 miles or so north of Ardmore.
Welcome to TBN from a mis-placed Okie.
Spent some time in Lawton and Marlow both as a youngster... What was that little place, The Rusty Spur or something like that.
