MF 65
I just purchased a MF 65 with 800 work master front end loader and back blade. It has brand new tires and recent engine rebuild and it in very good condition. Does anyone know what year it is. The stamp on the side by the instrument says 706662. It is also a G176 Continental gas engine.
I was told 1965 but I just wanted to check.

The only concern is the power steering on the left side. The right side turns easily but the left is a struggle, any ideas. One more thing is the loader a factory?

Thanks in advance

The MF 65 was first built in the mid 50s and the last ones in 1965. 1966 was the beginning of the 165 series. I doubt that the loader is factory, most of the tractors had after market loaders fitted on them.

As for the power steering, it sounds like the steering control value needs adjusting. You can access the valve at the front of the tractor just behind the front grill in front of the rad. Excess wear to the steering linkage could also be a cause of your steering difficulty.
