Hello all, I havent posted since my Bridge Build, but I am the proud new owner of a 2006 Bobcat 553, and I am looking for some info/advice.
I was looking for something semi-compact, but the 463/S70 was too small. The 553 is a tad bigger all around and will handle most of the light duty stuff I need done. One of the the things I want to use the machine for is brush cutting, and my knowledge of attachments is minimal.
  • This unit has a rather low flow rate of 11gal/min or 41l/min @ 3000psi. Can someone recommend a good brush cutter attachment? I am thinking a 48" - 60" is the size I am looking for.
  • If I get an attachment that requires a few gal/min more than my machine can produce, will it work at all?
Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Jimmie

This is the company I bought mine from: Tree Terminator Rotary Mower
Their low flow is 15-25 GPM, so it would not work well with your 11GPM.

It will work but won't have enough power for thick brush.
