I have just purchased my first tractor and I ordered bolt on bucket hooks when I went to install I noticed the top of the loader bucket is double walled and has a void that I won't be able to get a good hole thru I have a ck35 with the kl4010 loader anyone come across this issue before I guess I should have looked at the bucket a little closer before buying the hooks

Thanks

First - welcome to TBN & the forum. Not to worry about the hooks. If you search "bucket hooks" on this site - you will see just about everybody has their own unique place for hooks on their bucket. Mine are bolted on each side, near the rear of the bucket. I had an access problem that kept me from putting them where you wanted.

LT, welcome to TBN,
Can you post some up close pics of your bucket? And what thickness you think the material is? I know we have many owners of LS Tractors using our hooks, they have a heavy rectangular tube running across the top that supports the hooks perfectly. I am unfamiliar with this bucket on your CK35/KL4010.

I extended the top lip of my bucket 12" with 1/4" checker plate steel and mounted my weld on hooks to that. A grab hook on either side on the top and a slip hook in the middle.

I welded c-channel onto top of bucket and then welded hook to c-channel this way no chance that the top of my bucket will bend under load

I actually used your hooks I bolted them thru the back side of the bucket and the hooks are inside the bucket they will actually work well and have the support of the QA ribs near them

Great, glad to hear they'll work well for you. I'd love to have some pics if yo can send them.

Sorry to hijack. Kennyd, I'd love to see some pictures of how the hooks are attached to the LS buckets. I just recently bought a 4046 and the top lip of the bucket is curled back into the bucket. I had made the quick decision that bolt on hooks wouldn't work as I don't see how I'd have access to the under side.
