Congratulations on the new tractor.Keep an eye on fluid levels, especially the front axle as they have a habit of requiring frequent top ups for the first little while.

I rely on the video, BX full service by Paul Short. Between that and the experts on here, I have been able to do all of my own service work for the past 4 years. For example, I just learned on this forum the other day that the rear tires level the FEL. Amazing!

Sounds like a little thing, but its much easier to change the oil if the mower deck is off. The front linkage for deck is in the way when you go to put a drain pan under it. I just change mine and I had the deck off the week before but didn't think of changing it at that time. It can be done with the deck on but just more akward.

Fluid film the bright works if you like the look. The new WD40 lasts longer. Use a mill bastard to knock the curl (minimal) on the blades ofter your first season and the edge temper will not get destroyed like when you use a grinder. Couple the hydralic line caps together for the front end loader. You wont have to clean a ton of dirt out. Remove the FEL and set aside. Put a shot of grease in the lower cradle on the left and right and thinly film the wrist pins that hold it in the upper. Put the FEL back on. Use a grip tape to protect the edge of the floor pan from deep ugly scratches and to increase traction for you when climbing in. Every ten hours shoot a shot of grease in every zerk or until grease starts coming out. Grease the zerks on the MMM every ten hours but only with one shot regardless. Wash as needed wax once a year. WD40 does a good job of removing the soot from the inside of the FEL arms and makes the job easier the next time. Do not run the engine beyond 2500 RPM for the first 50 hours (its in the manual) and always do the work in turtle mode. As with everything check the fluids, filters, and tire pressure before starting and ALWAYS put the ROPS up before you take of for your mission. Wear the seat belt.
