I have been a long-time lurker on these boards during the search for a suitable tractor. I have finally made a decision and my new CK20S HST will be delivered tomorrow afternoon. Thanks to all who have posted their experiences with their machines. It really helps a newbie like me who has never owned a piece of equipment like this.

This is going to be a fun weekend! :D

You will be amazed at the amout of add ons and implements that will suck the life out of your retirement savings...he he he
It starts with a bunch of spare filters, several gallons of oils, a blade and maybe a landscape rake, bucket hooks, a mower deck, a backhoe, more lights, a trailer, a fuel truck, a garage to store it in, insurance, some of those concrete blocks so you can stash your own landscape materials so you look like the local bark supply, rear tilt cylinder....hmmm did I forget anything??

Thanks everyone! I just got back into town from a business trip and haven't had time to download the pictures yet. I thought I would give you some first impressions:

1. Wow! This thing is strong! I had a blast with the rock finder (bush hog) and really need to spend some quality time with my loader. I stalled her once digging in to a big pile of river rock. I'll work on that.

2. I'm really impressed with what I perceive to be the quality of the machine. Everything seems to be put together really well and the motor runs like a sewing machine.

3. I'm really glad I chose a tractor with position control and HST. Both made it much easier for a newbie to operate. I found I could maneuver the rock finder into some pretty tight places that would have been much harder for me to get to without having to worry about speed of the tractor.

Thanks again! :)

What RPM's are you running at? When I am using the loader on heavy stuff like rocks and wet soils, I run it at about 2600 rpms, luckily the speed is not highly increased like the backhoe and you will hit the relief valve before stalling it. If you have more than 20 hours or so on the engine, I would run it between 2200-2600 for the best results. Since you have a HST, the higher rpms will let you drive into the pile better also.

Welcome Googsdad. Seems like you might have picked the most popular Kioti. Have not heard many bad things about the 20's. Good luck and have fun.
