Well, I just bought a tractor yesterday, and I'm hoping I did the right thing. I got a MF 35 with the perkins deisel. It came with a bush hog loader attached to the machine, a five foot House mower, and a five foot bush hog rototiller. I am planning to use the loader to move and stack large square bales, and I'm sure the mower and tiller will come in handy as well. It needs a bit of tinkering...There is one leaky hose on the loader, and the engine smokes some. I am hoping that a new set of injectors will help the smoking.
A few questions...
How difficult would it be to replace the injectors? I am reasonably good with tools, but do not have any experience with deisel mechanics. Also, is that the likely culprit for some smoke? The fuel filter is relatively new, or so I'm told.
The hydraulics run from a port next to the seat mount. There is a selector valve there that must be moved to select three point lift or loader operation. Is there any way to re-plumb without the selector valve so that I could use both at the same time?
I gave $5000.00 for the package. Did I do OK?
Thanks for any help. I'm sure I'll have more questions as time goes.
