Got this machine with 888 hours on it.
2WD, big turf tires.
Changed motor oil in it right away as that makes sense to do.

Now that I have 10-15 hours on it....and winter is coming....think I should change the hydraulic oil too.
Was just looking it over and see there is a HUGE automotive type screw on oil filter under the seat. That makes sense.
But there is also a sticker on there advising to take out screen filter and clean it with kerosene. I see a football shaped plate back by the rear axle that looks like the picture on the sticker. If that is it, might be enough room to get it out with the wheel on....depends how long the screen filter is.

What is the deal here? Why a screen filter and a paper element filter too?>
Seems that the screw on automotive type filter would take out way more than a screen would....why bother with the screen?

The oil fill hole is right there ontop of the chassis under the seat. Can see all the gears in there. That hydro oil is redish in color? Seems it is a bit low (couldn't read the dip[stick real good with out my glasses on). It looks like the oil was a bit foamey around the edges. Could that be why it whines when starting out?
Needs a hydro change?

Going to take the deck off and go through it here shortly as grass cutting season (and dirt bike track prep season) is coming to a close.

SO learning and asking here.

Thanks for any advice.
