Bostonian, I would stick to the 'Diesel' coolant or heavy duty truck coolant.

I went to Autozone Auto Parts and looked at their cooolant. I found nothing for diesels. I asked why they had nothing for my diesel truck and the kid said, 'Oh, the green stuff is fine'. I find anymore, if it isn't in the computer, they really can't help you.

I did check with my local Carquest auto parts that caters more to farming, construction and trucks. They did have it including an ELC (Extended Life Coolant) as recommended by Caterpillar, so that would work too.

If you have a tractor or heavy duty truck place or even a Dodge, Ford or Chevy dealer nearby, go and buy it there.

Ford New Holland and Deere also sell an additive (FNH FW15) that you can mix with the 'green stuff', but you have to ratio it out correctly and keep up on refreshing it periodically.
