Just got a B7100D in bad /neglected shape. It has a B1630 loader on it and a Kubota trencher on the back. It would be real handy around here if I can get it up into shape. The story I got was that it was jumping out of gear under load but don't know if they meant the trans. or the PTO. Got about 2 qt of clear water before the oil drained out probably because there was no can over the muffler which stands upright on this tractor. Can only get the engine to turn over about 1/3 turn right now but have removed the injectors and put some Krol oil in the cylinders and may remove the head this weekend to see what the damage is there. Going to need all hyd hoses all all tires. Really need to do a complete tear down of everything to see what I have here. But that will have to wait till next winter. If things are to bad I may just part it out. But really hate to do that. Going from the ser. # it's a 1977 year model. Are parts still available for these? Decals? It does have a small hyd pump at the rear of the injector pump, but also has some sort of what looks like a larger pump on top of the trans. Is this what you guys call a shuttle drive? I've rebuilt tractors in much worse shape than this , but this will be my first Kubota. I see there is a CD parts manual on e-bay and may start with that.

You can still get many of the parts. The engine is pretty standard in a bunch of equipment. I'm not sure what you are talking about on top of the transmission. I have a B6100 which is pretty much the same machine with a slightly smaller motor. These little guys are amazing when running. If you pulled all that water out of the oil pan then probably worth pulling the head because the cylinder walls may be all rusted up. Be gentle with the steering box, they are fragile and parts are hard to find for them. Search on here for both B6100 & B7100 and check out some posts with interesting subjects, there's a ton of stuff on here.

If you do decide to part it out and want to sell the trencher...can I claim right of first refusal?...?

What you see on top of the transmission may be a creeper gear. It is necessary to slow the tractor down for use of the trencher.

Yes I think that is what it is. I have some manuals coming so that will help a lot. Thanks

Thanks for the offer, but I think I will put it on my Pasquali 997.

Please read my post, B7100 Restore project has begun, your tractor sounds to be in the same condition as mine when I began the restore. The cylinders have a rust ring built up and will require a tear down and probably a rebuild. Every part that you should need to rebuild the entire tractor is available from Kubota if you want to put the money into it.
