I removed the alternator and took it to Napa and it checked out ok, it was putting out 12.5 - 13 volts. But it rotates kind of jerky like it has a magneto in it.
Also I found out from the former owner the statrter was just recently rebuilt but I do not think that would affect it.
Put the battery on a trickle charger overnight. Then tried starting it this morning. Turn the iginition to the left for ten seconds, released the compression let it spin a bit then pushed the compression lever back in and it started right up.
Also changed the oil, took a little less than 4 quarts.
Thanks for everyone's input it is greatly appreciated.
