Tractor
LS P7010C & 5640 Ford
After checking out the XU5065PS and the P7010C I pulled the trigger on the 7010. While it's more tractor than I need at this moment, I'm wanting to add some acreage for hay production after I retire (not anytime soon).

I really liked the larger space inside the cab and all the standard features the 7010 cab includes. The ole Ford 5640 open station (65hp) wokrs well and I could'nt justify spending any money for another open station. The cab will be very nice in hot/cold or rainy conditions. The 7010 was only a few grand more and is substantially more tractor.

It will be delivered this Sunday along with a Woods road grader. I cant wait!!!!!!

I'll post pics ASAP along with some before and after road photos.

Congrats on the new tractor, you will love it. I have the LS P7030 CPS and it's been great. I have the 96" Woods land plane and it works very well. The next thing you will be hankering for is Top-N-Tilt, it makes grading work a breeze. Have fun and be safe!

Deerherd,

That's the same uint that I have coming. I think both you and RJGustufson recommended it.

It's going to be a long 5 days :)

Yep, the hydraulic top and side links make a world of difference on operation of the rear grader. I posted a thread on installation of my Fit-Rite kit last week.

I have the 84" Woods and pull it easily with my LS XR4046HC so, you will pull the 96" with no issues.

Congratulations on your new toys, I mean tools. :)

Quit teasing and load it up! :)

I'm looking forward to Sunday. The forecast calls for rain, I may ride around in the cab all day.

Haha!

I can guarantee you that it won't be raining inside that cab!

Well, the tractor arrived Sunday morning as promised. The only problem was the day was a washout. IT rained the entire day. The ground was so wet I couldn't do much of anything. The good news is I could ride around in it without getting wet!

It will take me some time to get used to the shifter being on the steering column rather than at my right hand like the Ford. It's a lot of tractor for sure!

Very nice looking.

I would seriously consider one if the closest dealer wasn't so far away.

Yeah, the barn is new, as barns go. It was built in 2012. I haven't used the middle section much. Eventually, I'll add electricity and use it for a work shop.Barn.jpg

RCO Tractor has to be the top LS dealer, or at least close to it. There has to be a ranking some where.

I started visiting LS Dealers in Houston area a couple of years ago. Some seemed to cater to the 25 hp or less, some sold other brands and treated LS as secondary at best. Two seemed like they were doing me a big favor to get off their a$$es and come outside to talk to me.

John Ryan, from the start, acted as a product champion for the complete LS line. His LS product knowledge is second to none, as demonstrated by all his videos. I spent every bit of a year dealing with John before finally pulling the trigger on our XR4046HC and some implements last November. Service after the sale has been exceptional as well.

Your trip to Old Bee Caves Rd. in Austin will be worth it. John, Alex, and Sam run a fine operation. I have no issue with 200 mile round trip to RCO.
