Homebrew,
The blade has to swing freely, so don't tighten it too much.

First, thanks for digging up those pictures. Note that I didn't tighten the bolt too much...I couldn't move it. I'm not sure if it was the hub spinning on me or the lock-tite, or both, but I couldn't move it. I'd like to tighten that one, but it didn't seem to affect the operation of the unit any.

So, a few things i did not see mentioned but it is all over the website. the bolts and washers that PT puts on the brush hog are pretty weak. I snapped mine right away (the spare heads). So, I upgraded to Grade 8 bolts and washers, I also put some loctite on as they have a tendancy to back out.

On my bumpers instead of putting Grade 8 bolts with a nut on them, I did this.

(about halfway down).

Anyway... Its just an idea... I have not fully tested it yet as my PTO valve failed and I had to get back to LA....
