Bolens G274
I have a bolens G274 with some pretty rusted out rims. Especially the part where the valve stem is. I can poke the inner tube with my finger. Does anyone have a place I can find replacement rims? The tires currently on there are 355/80D20. They are a bit dry rotted but still look useable, but I would even be open to getting a different size rim and tire combo if that is an option. How could I search for the rims? Width, height, bolt pattern, mounting plate inset (sorry I don’t know the technical term) etc..

You know the Bolens G274 is really a Iseki TE4270. Just a different paint job.

Chances are Iskei rims fit just fine.

Thanks for that. Yeah I looked for rims for iseki too and couldn’t come up with anything. I need rear and front but the rear are in worse shape. I saw in another forum that kubota rims might fit but idk how to make sure before I order them.

It doesn’t look like it. Mine has a 6 bolt pattern. Those seem to have more

I think I’ll end up welding them up. Hopefully it’s not too bad of a job

Are there any local tractor scrappers? We have a place called Farmland Tractor near Albany, OR. Kind of a funky place.

At one time, they had rows of wheels sitting outside. However, matching a particular model might be difficult without doing some modification.

I think they ship some stuff, but wheels would be rather expensive freight.

Calcium in tires is bad. Calcium with tubeless is really bad. There are better additives for fluid filled tires.

Not that I know of. I thought I found one guy over in Maine but he only dealt with those small lawn tractors. Had a whole heaping pile of wheels that were useless to me lol. Good guy tho, he might come in handy another day for something else so at least it wasn’t a wasted trip.
I’m pretty sure there’s calcium in there given the age. Think I’ll just leave them dry once I get them put back on. Do you think there will be much of a difference in the snow without the ballast? They’re turf tread

I do more bucket work with my tractor, and all the low down weight I can get helps.

I don't ever run my tractor in snow. A little weight probably helps a bit with traction. You can purchase tire chains for tractors.

And, or course, other types of ballast, although tractor weights seem to be rather expensive.
