1. Go ahead with the 10 second rule before a ball can be snapped, if the play clock starts at 40. If it starts at 25 then the ball can be snapped at any time.

Currently, the blame ref stands over the ball to be sure the defense has time to sub if the offense has substituted a player. Many times the play clock get to below 10 before he moves out of the way.

2. Offensive players can only be "set" one time.

None of this getting set, then all heads turn toward the bench to see what the new play is. If an offensive lineman is in a set position such that the ball could be snapped then they cannot move until it is snapped. One backfield player may go in motion, but not toward the line of scrimmage.

3. No contact once a receiver is five yards beyond the line of scrimmage. And this means no offensive receiver push offs. No contact until the ball is present.

This has gotten to the level of the charge vs. blocking foul in basketball. No contact, on push offs.

4. Field goals count like in paper football on the table. If you hit one field goal = no points. Hit second field goal = 3 points or you can bank it. If first two are banked then third field goal = 10 points.

1. I don't notice much issues needing this rule. Most games seem to flow well.

2. Agree

3. Somewhat agree. But alot depends on the officiating crew. A little physicality is okay IMO, but need to level the field. They show ALOT of favortism toward the receivers.

4. I like it the way it is.

I will also add what I hate most now in the rules are targeting and definition of a catch. Just seems no one knows anymore. Targeting rule and calls is getting carried away. And I liked the catch rule better before. Now it seems like they have to have possession and control for an eternity before its a catch.

Also don't like how some things are reviewable and others aren't. IMO, everything should be reviewable. Isn't it about getting the call right? And not about what some ref saw at a bad angle in real time?

I left out one:
5. The offensive line will be a LINE, not a half circle.

I agree with you totally on the targeting rule and replay. On #1 I see the ref just standing over the ball, almost getting in the way since the play clock gets so low before he moves.

Don't forget new rule #6 All games off the air before 5:30 pm so they don't ruin the prime time TV viewing.

football is prime time viewing, about the only thing on tv I watch anymore.

leave the extra point as it is.
agree with the line gets set once.
too many interference plays already don't get called, they push and shove each other all the way down the field.
don't know why they have replay, they blow more calls on replay than without it.
Never was a fan of the targetting rule, but saw one the other day that really did deserve to be ejected. sometimes the eject when it was incidental helmet contact which is unfair.

Textboox example why I don't like the targeting call. Joey bosa ejected.

IMO, player wasn't defenceless, and wasent even helmet to helmet. Let's just play flag football from now on

Rule #7..........quit treating these prima donna jocks like hero's. If they don't follow the rules.....kick em to the curb. Manziel should have been in rehab at A&M and Winston should be in prison for rape while at Florida State. Colleges should stop protecting these jerks. Good for Clemson for suspending those players!

Yep, another stupid targeting call.

I think the coaches out to get to issue order 66 once per game. THAT would make it interesting....
