Not sure what's available right now price-wise at 800 lbs, but I wouldn't necessarily make that the magic threshold for your tractor and the uses you mention. E.g., the Woods/Gannon BSM84 is 750 lbs, and very well made. Rated as "medium duty" by Woods, 40-65 hp, but I think they're being quite conservative. Only about $1400 new.

One dealer did quote a similar medium duty blade and wasn't really interested in quoting me the heavier one, so I figured that would work. But I think I will try for a heavier duty one for now. I can do more damage that way!

I found mine on Craigslist but facebook marketplace seems to be doing better now with fewer spammers.

I'll probably cave on the rimguard at some point, but going to try and avoid it for now. I know it's not as bad as calcium, but I'm still hesitant. Looking at some cast weights for the wheels even though to that's not as heavy.

Apparently I need to learn to use a box blade. I always take too big of a bite with the smaller one I have for the old 8N. I think I got better with it, been a while.

Got a U nail stuck in my front tire four years ago. Pulled it out and the hole the nail left was leaking air. I rolled the tractor forward so the leak was on the bottom and the Rimguard filled and plugged the leak. Rimguard is great stuff.

Boxblade wise, a hydraulic toplink is very cool to use. I wouldn't bother with a hydraulic side link because unless it has a provision for pivoting where it connects to the lower three-point, when used it will torque itself and eventually the weld will fail at the hydraulic ram. Also, in my experience, a hydraulic side link just isn't that useful unless you need to ditch stuff. Your mileage may vary.
