New S550G Owner and many Questions

I purchased this unit last fall. I have been looking for information on it and sadly, I'm finding different answers for the same questions. At the moment I can't get the thing started. It has sat all winter and started and ran well when it was parked. Turned over fine although a little slow. It acted like there was no spark so I'm considering a tune up just because everything appears well used and aged. I don't know where to look on the engine for information but from what I've read, it is supposed to be a Mazda PB 100 engine. Parts stores have never heard of that engine. So far I have read that the engine is a 987 cc, a 1.0L, 1.1L and a 1.2L. Can anyone confirm the correct size of the motor and which vehicle I can cross reference parts numbers to do a tuneup?
What size plow can this unit handle? Can it handle a 2 bottom plow only a single bottom?
Anyone know where I can find brake parts? I have a brake pedal that hangs low and doesn't seem to do anything. It may be simply missing a return spring of sorts but I'm hoping to get as much information as I can on this so I don't have to play catch-up when the spring thaw hits and I can dig into repairing this unit. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

A research project done by one chap* shows the S550G (ELK) to use Mazda PB100, 987 cc, 4 cyl gas. and that it is 2WD.
bore 68mm stroke 68mm.

Seem to remember it being said that an older Ford Ranger used that engine which is reasonable as Mazda and Ranger are same PU.

Thanks Ed. One of the places I came across listed the 1972 Ford Courier pickup as having the same engine as the tractor but only 1 of the big auto parts websites ( can't remember if it was Napa, Autozone or Advance Auto ) listed the Courier. And it was listed as having the 1.1 or 1.2 liter engine. I suppose the block could be the same and the 200 cc span that covers all four of the sizes I have come across, could be attributed simply to a difference in the head.

The engine doesn't cross to anything domestically. Rumor has it that it was used in a forklift, but when I looked into that I was told that it was too small for a forklift. It was used in a truck in Australia, but I couldn't find a source that had parts for it there. I can supply many parts for it including a tune up. I do have manuals for it. It maybe able to pull a two bottom plow if it is weighted right. Email me for more info.

The S550G has a Mazda PB 100 (60 cubic inch 1.0 liter gas)

I have bought all my tune up parts from Advanced Auto for a 1972 - 74 Mazda or Ford truck with same engine. I'm not at the homestead right now but I've got a cross reference for all your tune up parts, belts and hoses for Advanced Auto, Autozone and NAPA.

Points have been the biggest problem so far and am looking at buying and electronic ignition and end that problem. We have a 12" single bottom plow and this little thing pulls it through Ohio clay pretty well.

I'll reply here with all the part numbers for you over the weekend.

What size front tires do you have on yours? I need new fronts and can't even read the side walls but I know they are 12" rims. Had though about replacing with 3 rib style tires...
