I just picked up the factory replacement seat for my B7610.

The dealership charged me $40 for the seat. I was wondering what other owners were charged.... Anyone care to comment????

For those of you not familiar with the story; Owners who "commented negatively" about the factory seat (of their "B" series tractor) on their customer survey were offered the option to buy a replacement for a reduced price.

Hmmm... I just got a B7510, I haven't had much seat time yet but if I can easily get a better seat...

What's better about this new seat?

Depending on how recently you bought your 7510, you might already have the "new style" seat. When I went to the dealership to pick up my replacement seat, I noticed that 3 of the 4 "B" series tractors on the showroom floor had the new seat on them. The rumor was that Kubota would start supplying the seats to previous owners once they had enough in stock to install them onto "New Production" tractors first.

The new seat has a steeper angle to the backrest (for better back support) than the original did and more bolstering as well. I think it's a HUGE improvement over the original seat for my 6 foot tall frame.

Hmmm... I thought the seat on my B7510 looked and felt just like the one on my BX2230, I haven't sold the BX yet so I'll have to look when I get home tomorrow.

Yeah, definately not the seat I have. My tractor appears to have been on the lot for a while, the red wires running to the turn signals have turned pink already. Probably an older one...

That looks like a much better seat. I know what I'll be marking when I get my survey!

I would give the dealer a call soon, and let him know that you need the new seat. Perhaps he will fix you right up. :)

My 7610 must have the old seat, for sure not like the one in the photo. I don't recall filling out any survey either.
Having said all that, I have no issues with the seat on my tractor, I find it quite comfortable. Better than the one on the B6200 I had before.

My two year old B7510 had a seat that made you feel like you were sliding off the front. There was no back support at all. So a couple weeks ago (after 40 hours of seat time in the previous month dealing with snow) I asked my dealer about the replacement deal. The new seat lists for ~$167 but after fooling with their computer system for a while my out the door cost was $25+Tax. Oh what an improvement! The seat has a more level butt space with better back support as well. Well worth the change.

I'd heard of some people getting the new seat for ~$25. I think you got a great deal! Like I mentioned in my original post, I paid $40, but it was WELL WORTH THE MONEY in my opinion.

My original seat was just like PhraminP described. After a short time operating the tractor my back was killing me (from the lack of back support) and my left knee was also in great pain (from the constant pressure I had to apply to the floorboard to keeping me from sliding forward).

I'll be putting the old seat on ebay soon. With a little luck I'll sell it to someone it fits comfortably like brandoro.
