Okay, I thought I had fixed the seat on my L4200 GST but it already broke again. One of the parts in the seat suspension assembly is reamed out and it seems like I will be spending a lot of wasted time and effort fixing it only to have it come apart again. Also I've discovered that the actual seat isn't the stock seat anyway.
I just checked on tractorsmart.com and the broken part of my seat is the suspension assembly and it is $198! The stock seat is another $120 so I'm looking at around $350 with shipping to get my seat back in order.
I've heard of some people replacing their seats with aftermarket seats from TSC and even some of the newer model Kubota seats with armrests and tilt backrests.
Do these just bolt in where the suspension assembly goes, or do I need to fix the suspension assembly and then work on finding a nicer seat that fits?
The suspension assembly is part #60 in this diagram.
Thanks in advance for any input.
