I was able to put a new seat on my 1998 Massey Ferguson 231 tractor today. It’s the classic “bucket style” seat. It’s all aftermarket Sparex parts but it’s as close to original as you can get. I ordered everything through Lindstrom Equipment in Wisconsin. Total cost was $255.
The new Sparex parts used were:
Seat Pan & Grey Cushion Set, part #S.61390
Seat Bracket with Hinge, part #S.43726
I could have gotten an aftermarket suspension seat for a whole lot cheaper, but it wouldn’t have that original look to it, plus I love those bucket seats.
These parts work for many Massey Ferguson tractor models, including the MF 135. I knew it would work on my MF 231.
