This is the new sidewalk I put in last week leading to my new carport that I just posted about. Used the 48" yanmar tiller to soften the top 2 inches then laid out the stones. Then used the loader bucket wrapped with carpet to press them into the dirt.

This is a pic of some steps I installed last month in the back yard. Used my Kelley B600 3pt backhoe to carve out the ground.

Good tip on using the tiller to prepare the ground ... hadn't thought of that. I have a sidewalk project coming up in the spring and am also trying to justify a tiller - this will add to my case when it comes time for the one person financial review!
