Swisher has come out with a new 3,000 Lbs. capacity slip-on front end loader bucket lift. It's a quick and easy tool to have when needing to pick up large items around the farm or job site.

Or…..you could use a bucket hook.

This post triggered my mind back to my construction safety management days. For you out there that are running a business or farm that is subject to state/federal OSHA inspections or State Accident Compensation Insurance, beware. Adding hooks or D rings to FELs and Bhs are considered to be unauthorized modifications unless designed and certified by a registered engineer. Attachments for load lifting are required to be a basic machine manufacturer certified attachment for that machine for that machine and used as prescribed by them. This also applies to man lift attachments or equipment.

The rest of us; avoid any lawsuit potential actions.

I agree with you. At least the bucket hook would be welded on. Is this a solution looking for a problem?
The part does appear to be well made, but it doesn't seem to have a way of attaching to the bucket other than gravity.
Could it be that the supposed advantage of this product is in the fact that you could lift something higher with the bucket fully curled?

What's to keep an unbalanced load or uneven ground from sliding that hook from the middle of the bucket to one of the ends and causing a possible accident?

No one should ever carry a raised bucket load, using or not using the slip-on bucket lift, while operating a tractor, skid steer, wheel loader, or fork lift on uneven ground or terrain.

So not very good for the job site or farm unless they are nice and flat eh?

Reminds me of our local 4H park, years ago if we needed a new barn everyone pitched in together and built it.
Lumber from the farm that had the sawmill, poles from the local electric coop etc. etc. Now a barn must be designed by a engineer and have detailed blueprints to the tune of thousands of dollars.
