Snow New Snowblower

Picked up my MF 2360 snowblower today. It was, of course, near 90 degrees. Haven't done anything with it but to take the plastic cover off the main crate. Nice bright MF red.

I have done my best to save the midatlantic from snow this winter.

Well it worked for me last year. Bought a new tractor with a new blower and used it twice on only a few inches of snow, we should have had feet of snow. So this year you will be safe and it will be our turn to get hit.

It sees to work that when you're prepared you don't get any snow. When you do get the snow you'll love the 2360. It devours the snow and makes it go far, far away. The dealer assembled mine 2yrs ago. My friend assembled his a couple of weeks ago with electric chute and deflector controls. It took him about 10hrs by himself but he said he could do it again in 5hrs. He commented the instructions/pictures weren't that clear.

Yes, the snowblower sits there real nice in a glory of red. If we have a normal winter around here, I'll be using mine for the first time around Thanksgiving. Until then, the front loader will continue to rule the day, and there is still lots for it to do . . .

Wouldn't mind seeing some pics of it when you get it set up. Anyone using the electric chute controls with their GC? How and where do they put the switches? Or does every dealer do it different?

They stuck mine on either side of the dash -- of course, the 2310's dash is kinda old-fashioned compared to the new ones. Looking closely at the dash picture, the switches are just visible on the extreme upper left & right: rubber-coated momentary toggles.

The one thing I did do to the set-up was to add a flat-4 disconnect --with a rubber cover-- under the hood; that way removing the blower (and disconnecting the electric) is much easier.

Ditto what AMCS said- it really throws the snow!

Thanks irvingj, I did remember you showed me setup a long time ago. I was just wondering if they pretty much do the same on the 24/2600's. I was wondering if every dealer does it different or if it is pretty standardized.

Both my switches are on the right side of my dash seperated by a couple inches. My ideal setup would be to have both switches built into the FEL knob so you wouldn't have to move your hand back and forth.

Where'd you find such reasonably priced tools?

I'm looking at getting a GC2600 with the 2360 front mount snow blower thinking it may be much easier on my back not having to turn around all the time to look at a a 3-point mounted snow blower. I was wondering how easy it is to attach/remove the 2360? Are there any sub-assemblies that you leave on the tractor when the snow blower is removed.
