Well...I shoulda seen it coming
When they delivered it last Thursday it kept dying out when no one was in the seat and the brake was set and in neutral. The thing would die and the beeper would beep
About 8 or 9 times. :smiley_aafz:
The dealer's delivery guy was on the phone to their service and could not guess what was up.
If you stood next to it and it started to die, you could jiggle the shift lever (for Hi - LO- Med) and it would stay running. But if you were not near it it would die altogether.
Then after 15 minutes of this it stayed running and idling. The service dept guy was convinced that when they washed it up for delivery, it was possible that the neutral safety switch plug / wire may have either gotten water in it or came loose from water sprayed near it. The switches plug was checked and re-seated to make sure it was on.
note: it did not die if in gear idling with someone in the seat
So I made a notation on the delivery paperwork that it kept dying at idle but was running when the delivery driver left.
It stayed idling fine for about 30 minutes when I drove it home and parked it that day.
Anyways, it has been raining so much here that I could not get out and play with it much.
First time I got any seat times was back on the 29th (this past Wednesday) and it it died once when I was off it, but only once. I thought that could have been me not setting something right, so I sort of let it go.
Today I used it again and twice I got off the seat after setting the brake and making sure it was in neutral and then walked to look at whatever it was I wanted to look at and both times it bobbled and died and the safety beeper started beeping.
Double :smiley_aafz: :smiley_aafz:
I had to jiggle the shifter around and make doubly sure it was in neutral and it would start.
So I call the dealer and explain it. Just so happened that their truck was in town as we spoke and they wanted to come and pick it up.
So, it is now on it's way back yo them.
They only deliver this way when they get enough on the truck to pay for the delivery expenses, so it may be gone for a week or so.
That does not make me happy, but us little guys are always the loser in these scenerios.
I just hope this in't a sign of this thing being a lemon or junker. Maybe it was made on a Monday morning?
I wonder if they prorate the 2 year warranty and take into mind that :
A - I bought and paid for it but they did not deliver for a week....(1 week off the warranty ) without me even using it
B- It will be another week I cannot use it....so that is another week off the warranty
(yes, I know they do not)
I better stop typing now cuz I am starting to think about it and steam and I may type something I will regret
