New t1520 engine problem

Long story short.dealer sold us t1520 w noise in motor.took tractor because sales man said any problem w motor new holland will install brand new one.now I have a brand new tractor w a rebuilt motor and is still making noise although it has sounded really good a few times.I have been to a few other dealers and found one other t1520 on the lot making same noise.2 dealers and nh rep agreed my motor had to be rebuilt.so I guess this tractor on the lot need a rebuild to.nh or the dealer don't want to help out giving me run around.I worked really hard for long time to forfill my dream of having a nh tractor now its a nitemare.I have learned never trust a dealer even if they seem really nice.get everything in writing.nh is not a brand I would recommend and good luck to all my tractor budies.

sounds like the dealer and the rep are the ones to blame not the brand. where are you located maybe i can help out

What does the noise aound like? Is there any metallic thuding, or thumping? Diesels can make some noise while running, and warming up. They are not as quiet as gasoline motors. Can you post a short video of your tractor running with sound. There are many good experts here at TBN whom can help you if this is a real problem noise, or normal operating noise. Some diesels run quieter than others just due to the nature of the beast. Timing setting can cause additional noise. Direct injection diesel engines are noisier than indirect engines. Let us give it a hear.....

Live in new england bough tractor in ny.they had best price but my mistake since new holland had me bring it back to ny 5oo dollars for shipping.local dealer would not fix because major engine problem and would only make 60 percent off warranty work can't blame them.love my tractor just wish nh dealer and nh wouid stand behind their product.any help would be really appreciated.thanks

Before rebuild which I don't know what they did(sent 2 cert letters only to get parts list)but paint scrapes indicate oil pan timming cover etc. Removed the engine would start run quite for 1 to 5 seconds then make a fan hitting shroub sound.after warm up sound would quite down to almost unnoticable.after the rebuild a few times the tractor start up and sound great then after warmup sounds ticky.other times start up sounds real ticky then quitets down.I alway though it had something do with lifters or valve adj. First dealer adj valves oil ck comp ck cut out ck all ok according to them informed us has to go back to dealer bought it from.I have ben around deisel my whole life and have a good ear(don't alway hear the wife and kids)and know that this tractor isn't right.I have recorded our skidder going over a bridge thinkn I might fall threw.video came out great but detroit sounded like a blender.tried the tractor sounded like a 2lunger jd.I have thought about having a professional music recorder come out but w family work etc and a little bit ridiculous in just hoping that some one can help us out.thanks
