TC25D
Hello all,
After hiding in the background, my research has concluded with a purchase of a new TC25D. I currently have 10 hours and it is VERY Cool! I looked at Blue, Orange, Green, and the Rest. So far I am very happy. This forum has been/is VERY informative and helped very much.
Thanks!

TC25Don,

What did you get with your TC25D? What was your cost and what criteria did you use for choosing. The reason I ask is I am considering the TC25D (soon replaced by the TC24D) and the TC29D. Not sure I can afford the bigger machine and not sure the TC25D (24D) will do it for me.

Thanks.

Congratulations, Don! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Happy days! /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Of course, since you've been lurking out there for awhile, we shouldn't need to mention that we expect...no.....dare I say DEMAND... pictures of the new addition. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Godd luck, and may you have many happy hours of bouncing on your seat! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Wow. It was a lot of "work" to decide. I have the 7308 loader and a borrowed 5 ft brush hog.
A lot of things went into the decision. Biggest was probably dealer relations. This is my first tractor of any type other than the lawn rag (MTD). I think I got a pretty fair deal. $15500 OTD. I saw on one of the posts buried here something about the 29 being a "turned up" 25. They both use exactly the same engine as far as I can tell. Same comp ratio, displacement, etc. except the 29 is run 200 rpm higher.
I REALLY like the visibility from the seat. Kubota and JD had square hood making forward visibility difficult. I mow 5 acres of trees and the NH hood/forward vis is really great.
I also like the hydro pedal setup on the NH. Even the wife likes to drive it, very easy.
I was kinda hung up on the 25 hp rating vs the 29 but can say I am extremely surprised by the response of the 25. Cut 3.5 acres of overgrown field that had not been farmed for years. Small trees, heavy brush, high weeds. No problem!
Was seriously considering Kubota 2710 with it's loader, but the NH was more "finished". The 2910 was too much $. Also the orange dealer was very firm on pricing, even with the current rebates I would have paid 1.5 k more for it. NH has better ergos, visibility, etc.
I have heard of the 24 due out, but have not seen any pics even.
Take another look at the 25D. If you can get a deal I don't think you would be pleased.

Oops. I shoulda read your bio. We had our dream house built about 1.5 years ago. Ours sits back from the road about 350 ft. We currently have about 1.5 acres in mowed grass and I have NO Doubt the 25 will eat it up! Also moved some dirt today with the FEL. Actually FUN. Would have been misery with the MTD and the little wagon.

TC25DON,

We are so merciless about the pics because: a) we don't have our own and are drooling over any action photo's, b) we are drooling over the action photos.

For me we decided on the bank today and will be calling to finalize paperwork. It should take us about a month or so to close the loan, bu we should be able to get underway with site work in about 3-4 weeks with foundation to follow. May have to put a TC2xD on hold for a year, not that I want to but money may not make room.

Photo's please.
