Tiller New Tiller Arrived Today

here is a picture of my new King Kutter 5ft tiller, it is currently 3 degrees outside so it will be a few months before i get to try it out. but i trimmed the PTO shaft today and filled it with grease,gear lube so i am ready for spring.

Looks great Mike. I just got a 4'KK like yours right after Christmas.

I'm waiting for spring too. My tractor is only 19HP so I stayed with a 4' tiller. Hey, how about some more pics of your garage. It looks wonderful.

The garage is not really that special, it is 30 x 36 , i contracted the majority of the building of the garage, but i put the infloor heat in, wired, sheetrocked, and insulated the it. I made it just big enough for 3 cars and then i can also fit the tractor infront of the cars, But currently i do not have three cars so i just park it in the 3rd stall, someday i will have to buy a pickup but for now my parents live 2 miles down the road and they help me when i need to haul stuff.

Mike, Did you buy your tiller at TSC? My local store has had a 4 footer left over from last year. I've been keeping my eye on it. I've thought about seeing if they'll give me a deal on it since it has been outside for awhile. Did you get a deal on yours?

Well,

first off i went to TSC's web site and they list the 5 foot tiller at $1349, so i went into TSC and asked what a 5 foot tiller would cost me and they said $1149 so i figured i better buy one before the price went to $1349. they did not have it in stock so they ordered one and it was here in two weeks new in the crate. Even new the paint is pretty poor, it chips off very easily.

the tsc here has some 4 foot tillers left over from last season and they are $999

Real nice looking tiller for sure. I was in TSC today, the 2 bottom plow 14" was going for $549. Very well built, though I agree, the paint looked a little shoddy. Still lots of heavy steel in their implements, and look like a good value.

Hey Mike, Congrats on the tiller, You will love it!! I have had mine since spring of 03 and have had no problems at all. Yes the paint quality is poor on these, I have some flaking also, always stored inside. I also have a KK XB 5' disc and the orange paint seems to be alot better on it. It sits outside all summer and still looks new, have had it since 05. Its funny, when I got my tiller they was $999 and I got a discount of 10% so it cost me around $950, cheap for a tiller this size. Also very nice shop, very nice!!

I got my KK 48'' tiller as an extra when i bought my 2 BX1500s.
