Rusty stuff.
I have an old Ford 1310 4wd tractor that is in need of new R1 tires front and rear. The problem is that it doesn't have the original rims. Tractordata.com lists the original tire sizes for the front as 6.00 x 12 and the rears as 12.4 x 16, but I currently have 6 x 14 on the front and 9.5 x 24 on the rear. I guess the tractor originally had turf tires on it and someone threw these on it after the fact.

My concern is getting the gearing between the front and rear off and messing something up. It spend a lot of time in 4wd in these rocky hills.

What sizes do yall recommend? Please help me, o wise ones, as I am about to drive myself crazy overthinking this.

No one?

Should I be finding the ratio between the circumference of the factory back tire over the front tire and find a set of replacements that are close to that that fit my rims? Or should I just find the difference in height between the factory rear and front and find a set of replacements that are as close to that difference as I can find?

Thanks

You need a original owner's manual. I have a 1620 but that does not help you.

Try posting in the Ford/ NH forum and ask if someone has a 1310 manual that will show AG tread for this tractor. These tractors of that vintage were most popular in Japan and almost all of those tractors had AG tires. Turf tires were much more appealing for the US Market.

The tractor was built by Shibaura, you might post there, that forum, to determine if anyone knows the equivalent model cross reference Also look in tractor data for a model of that vintage and hp rating under Shibaura. Or call Messick's, they may look it up for you? Another source is weaver compact tractor parts in PA. They dismantle old ford compacts. They may have records of what was on a 1310 they took apart.

Tire height can get you in trouble, always use rolling circumference for size comparisons.

Hello all. Im new to this forum. I have a ford 1310 4x4 tractor with 13.6/16 turf tires. I am trying to find ag or industrial tires and rims for the rear of this tractor. According to the manufacturer that is the only tire capable of fitting on my rim. The tire size that they say fits is 12.4/16 on rear and 6.00/12 on front. I have located the front rims and tires. I know some of the other brands like kubota use the same size tires. So I guess what I need is a 16 inch rim with a center hole size of 4.5" with a 6 bolt pattern. Center to center on bolt hole measurement is 6.75". I am willing to trade rear tires or buy if the price is reasonable. Thank you all for your time and glad to be on your forum
