I recently purchased a 2010 NH Boomer 8N and had a Quicke loader and rear remote added. I paid about half what it cost new (thank you, depreciation!). Kubota's are the popular color in our area, but I just never could warm to them myself.
Did quite a bit of online searching before buying (found some good info on this board, so I'm joining up!), and made sure the tractor had been flashed with the latest software before they shipped it to me. However, the first time I used the tractor (moving a large pile of mulch for some friends, so a lot of back & forth work), the tractor started throwing the "N" error and would not go into gear. Let it sit (off) for a while, and got it loaded back on the trailer okay. The selling dealer (NH) said to disconnect the battery to reset the computer, which seems to have fixed the problem (for now). I did some dirt work last weekend and worked it pretty good with no further problems.
Other than that, I really like the tractor so far. It really grunts down and digs! Will be baling with it for the first time tomorrow if the weather stays nice and sunny.
I'm also a regular over in the 8N forums at Yesterday's Tractors - I restored my '50 8N back in 2008 and it's still one of the handiest tools I have on our small hay farm.
