Hello, I'm very thankful to find this forum because at 48 years old I'm a little old to start farming but I have a 16 year old son who is very involved with FFA at his high school. I'm actually in the car business and have been for 26 years. My wife inherited a couple hundred acres which we have lived on for 14 years. It's currently leased to a friend of mine through the end of the year. My son wants to have some cows so we plan on keeping half of the farm and buying some (not sure how many yet) in Jan or Feb depending on the market. I have two tractors now, John Deere 790 4wd with loader and a New Holland 3930 which belonged to my father in law. I have a lot of questions but will save them for my next post, just wanted to introduce myself. If your wondering about my user name I know it's misspelled but I've posted a lot on our local high school sports vent and unfortunately the first time I used it my device wasn't equipped with spellcheck. Now I use the same spelling when commenting on any forum because to date I've never received that message "name already taken". I promise none of my post will ever be this long again!
