New to the forum and just wanted to say hi. Ive just purchased a house that is on 12.5 acres mainly wooded but with several open lots on it and need a sub compact tractor and decided on a Kubota. I wanted something with a belly mower and PTO and a 3pt hitch and ran across a 1975 Kubota L175 with 1600 hrs on it for 2900. Is this a decent deal? Should I go for something newer?

Seems pretty old to me, but I guess if you know how to fix things up or keep them running then it may be ok. Not sure how hard it is to get parts for it. I think there are a lot of people that continue to run old tractors. Definitely cheaper than new. If I was a diesel mechanic or knew how to work on older tractors then I think this would be a smart way to go.

I have a 1979 L245DT Kubota Diesel, 1600 hours with a 60" woods finish mower and a Front End Loader and I love it. Have owned it for 30 years and it very reliable. Good luck!
