Howdy,

Just have about 15 acres of pasture, long gravel drive, and the usual odds and ends of "land management". Will eventually need a rotary mower and grow from there. FEL has many uses. Need a blade too.

Know very little about tractors and beginning to learn. Thus far, from this group, have gathered that Bobcat is giving good deals. Went to the local Bobcat guy and this is the quote I was given: see attachment.

Appreciate any input

That is right on the money. I purchased my CT230 a couple months ago, and that is exactly how I was quoted. I added a set of rear remotes for about 350.00. It looks like you must have talked w. Dave at KC Bobcat. That is who I purchased mine through. I had a good experience through the sale, and I had an issue w. the tractor leaking hyd. fluid from the QD connections for the loader. I called him at about 8:30 am, and had a service tech out to fix it before noon the same day, and I live 80 miles away from the dealer. I was very pleased with their response.
I havce been happy with my new tractor to this point, just wish I owned a few more implements.

Good luck on your choice.

looks good here. I just bought from dave at KCbobcat and was impressed. I know there is another TBNer who did the same. If this quote is not from him/them I would check them out. I am between lawrence and topeka

U R all correct, ie, Dave in Olathe Bobcat.

Since this is my first tractor, Dave was helpful. Didn't talk down to me and believe he gave me a good quote. He did say it would take about 30d for delivery and no cost to deliver to me about 50 miles away. Would also lend me a tractor and bush hog to do my pastures for a few days. Stated that the Bobcat sale may be coming to end very soon.

What is the benefit of a rear remote?

That is a lot of tractor for 13K.
The extra rear remote will let you run implements that require two remotes such as a top n tilt or a backhoe.
I have read that installation of the kit takes a bit of time and at $350 it sounds like the labor portion is only about $50 which is pretty good for an afternoons effort.
