Tractor
Ford 1715
Good morning! I just picked up Ford 1715 tractor yesterday (2wd and doesn't have a FEL). It's my first tractor, but the same one my grandad had growing up. I'm in need of a trailer for it and could use some advice. From my understanding, the tractor itself is about 2000#. Plan to add a brush hog/other implements as time goes on. Would be used for working around my hunting club which is about 40 miles from home. I currently drive a 2016 F150 with the 5.0. I'd rather not go too big as this trailer will be used mostly for my Polaris Ranger (regular cab version) during hunting season. I have a 7x12 now that I use for the Polaris, but I don't have the room to keep 2 trailers.

Thoughts?

I was thinking maybe a 16' dovetail car-type trailer with 3500# axles would be good, but want to confirm.

I had an 18' with 2' dovetail included, wood deck. It also had slide in ramps. I hauled a lot of different types of tractors and equipment with it. It had a 7K gvw and did everything I asked of it. I pulled it with a 2010 Ram 1500 4.7 V8. No issues with handling or power.

A basic two axle flat deck trailer of the length you are talking would be fine, it's easier to find two axle trailers it seems even though a single would probably work fine...
