New to me NH 545D

I bought this tractor a few months back, used the gannon and loader and while I found a few little glitches nothing serious. Front pump needed new plates. and I thought that was strange at 2500 hrs but not a big deal.
Couple weeks ago I hooked it to a 7' flail mower first day it mowed well second day not so good pto would slip in tall weeds. even in first gear.
Took to shop after splitting tractor found fitting that is supposed to supply pressure to engage pto clutch loose and oil not being directed where it was supposed to go.
Also bad bearing that had come apart scattering metal everywhere.
So far bill is approaching $7500 due to dealership wanting to go in to planetaries and brakes to make sure no metal there or they would not warrenty work.
OH well! I guess I was about due? I have owned and purchased several tractors over the years and always got pretty lucky guess my number came up!

i bought a 445d new in 1994 , ended up trading it on another tractor, i wish i still had that tractor, loved the transmision and loader, would like to someday pick another one up. the only thing i did not like about it was the engine was loud, just my opinion.

Tom thank you for your response, I was amazed with 100 folks that had read
the posting I only had one reply.
This thing is getting uglier and uglier I stopped by the dealer yesterday to see how it was going ( tractor had been promised by this weekend) It looked like NO progress at all. I checked with service mgr and he and the mech that were working on it had both been fired! Now I have a gentleman working on the machine that is just confronted with a pile of parts. Boy I am not at all sure about this. In my experience it is always easier to re assemble something that you have taken apart. Not that it is impossible just easier.
I guess we will see.

Hey so this is a very old thread... just wanted to know more about your 545d. Did you get everything resolved? How about your long-term impressions on the machine? I'm looking to pick one up, hoping for input from owners.
