New (To Me) Size 3 Acetylene Tank ??

In our area, the flat tops were discontinued in favor of the "A" style of Acetylene cylinders. I think there was an issue with rusting at the bottom of the cylinders. I'd bet the "CL" was an abbreviation for cylinder. If the other abbreviation was "UOM", it could be unit of measure. The cylinders are weighed when they are pumped. Was it sold to you by the cylinder, or by the pound?

Sold as 1 Cylinder - 65 SCF per Cylinder

So it seems CL UOM = Cylinder - Unit of Measure makes sense.

Geez, did I say by the pound? Thinking too much of CO2.

Looks like the "Old style" Acetylene tanks that took a key to turn on/off but with a hand wheel on the valve.
