New To Me Truck

Well after reading for about a year on every truck post ever made on this forum, and every other forum, I finally purchased a new truck. It is a 2005 F350 V10 with 59K on it. It will do what I want, pull anything I will ever own, and is only a weekend car. I was actually surprised that I was getting 10.5 mpg (hand calculated) pulling this load (5500lbs) at 70mph (cruise control with Tow/Haul activated) from SC to FL.

Boy, I wish I could justify a truck like that (almost bought one...until I read more about the 6.0L Diesel).
But, any hauling I do now is handled by a 1/2T Nissan and a pull behind trailer...

My uncle has the same truck but a extend cab. Same year, color, motor, ect. What gear does yours have?

His is 4.30

Nice truck. Tough to be a Ford and that V-10 in a gas truck.

Make sure you change those spark plugs right on schedule or sooner.

It has 4.10's and manual 4x4. The Spark Plugs will be the first thing I change in a couple of weeks.

My uncles is a Auto Torque Shift and extended cab like I said with 4.30's but other than that identical. Nice truck.

Read up on the plugs before you start and it may be money well spent to go ahead and get the $60 plug removal tool, especially if it has over 50,000 miles.

Let me rephrase that. It is an Auto Trans, but I have Manual Transfer Case, with the lever in the floor. I will check out the tool.

Ahhhhhhh...sort of a "semi-manly" truck.

Now, if you had a manual transmission AND manually locking front hubs (to go with that manual transfer case)...now that...that would be truly "MANLY"
