New to sit down mowing

Just joined the forum. I live in Montesano, a small town in western WA. I'm the last house in town as you head for the next larger town, Aberdeen. I've been mowing with a Honda self propelled, usually pushing for a workout. The yard is 2/3rd acre, sloping to a field of uncut reed canary grass. The field is separated from the yard by a bank and it regularly floods. I've been retired since 2000 and now pushing 72. I thought I'd give sit down mowing a try. End of July I ordered a Kioti CK2610 hst with box blade and flail mower from the local dealer. I've been watching craig's list for used tractors for a while, Kubota, JD and even gray market brands. The used tractors similar to what I got were running at parr with what I paid new and with the attachments! I had the dealer add rear remotes and extendable link arms.

All, wow! thank you for the welcome. I'm getting quite an initiation. Tried to mow my field of reed canary grass and dropped the tractor front end in 30 inches of muck. The left front tire disappeared from sight. Got to engage 4wd, diff lock and front end loader to walk tractor to firm-ish ground and out of the field. All new and all fun! Thanks again for the welcome.
