New to this forum and Yanmar

I bought a Yanmar F16D in December of 2015. My first tractor and the one that started the bug was an Allis Chalmers Garden Tractor B 10 (simpletractors.com). I bought a couple of overgrown acres, so I need a slightly bigger tractor and picked up a F16D with 290 hours on the clock, a 5 foot finish mower, and Koyker 110 FEL. The FEL is in pristine condition with almost no wear on it.

I have managed to clear a half acre of brush with it, level 250 yards of fill, break and repair the hydro pump once and the steering twice! I learned the hard way that the steering is the week point of this tractor, especially with a FEL mounted on it!

I found this site while looking for a power steering option. I was looking for a bolt on option, but it looks like I'll have to learn how to build a kit on my own.

Welcome to the site. Somewhere around here a thread popped up with "lots of pics" as part of the title regarding a gentleman who added power steering to his tractor. It came out looking factory, really respectable job. Donnie

Thanks for the welcomes! I love the F16D, just wish the steering was better. I've learned about 'dead-heading' in relation to hydraulics, and that I need to get a ROPS fabiricated as well as gettt a little more weight on the tractor. This site has been great so far!
