Hi everyone i need some help with my YM155D. I need to put my mower deck on and i have no clue where the cable go in the front of the tractor. The deck is a ymm45. Im the third owner of the tractor that i know of and the guy i bought it from said he had never used it. It came with a Caroni finish mower but a trailing wheel broke off so i now need the deck... so if anyone has any info that might help i would really appreicate it.

ok i got it under the tractor but still have no idea where the lift cables go... the belts and clutch work great. also i noticed that the deck just barely rubs the rear wheels while its on the ground....is that normal?may have to just do some adjusting.... please guys someone has got to know how to help!!!

You are going to need an owner's manual.

Telling you that you need a manual IS helping ... you need a diagram and just maybe someone has a page they can post. You will just have to be patient and see.

Not familiar with a front cable arrangement. (My mid-mount attaches on the rear hitch like a rear mower.) If yours hits the rears while it's on the ground, makes me wonder if it really is a mid for that Yanmar model.

Even Aaron doesn't seem to know, and he's the go-to guy for all questions Yanmar. Meanwhile, wouldn't it be simple to repair or replace the broken rear wheel on your previous deck? It can't be all that hard.

I agree i think i would jsut weld up the finish mower, weld that wheel back on with a patch plate over where it broke or weld some new sheet metal onto the deck then weld the assembly onto that. Cut out the bent stuff, if any first.

That's OK. I got curious and looked it up in some old literature. The YMM45 is the right mower for the YM155D tractor. It was originally $500 and required a hundred dollar mounting kit and a two hundred plus dollar front PTO with electric activation. I remember those front PTOs as also being a PITA. Nice rigs once they were all set up right and shod with turfs. Sort of like a lawn tractor on steroids.
