Well, I don't live where the barn/tractor live, so we chip away at the projects.
Tractor work will be mowing and some minor earth moving to even out some of the land. I may have to disk some of it, box blade and then roll it. It's all new to me so I guess it'll be trial and error. I have a very friendly neighbor who will let me use some of his implements. I may even install the culvert when the time comes.
I had not seen the barn finished until the day I took delivery of the tractor (11-07). The barn already has shutters (fake), mini blinds, fire extinguisher, clock, card table, 3 chairs and a bunch of "spare" garden tools from the house. We plan on a 12 foot plywood workbench along the side opposite the tractor. We'll build buy other storage as needed.
I've owned this plot of land (5 acres) since March. I'm as excited about the barn as I am about the tractor. The barn gives me a feeling of "permanence".
I bought another 5 acre plot around the corner. We'll clear some dead trees and keep the pasture mowed down over their. But don't plan on doing anything else other than increasing it's "curb appeal".
