Will you be removing it for summer work? I would think it would get pretty hot in there in summer. $1800 for a plastic cab seems high to me also. I think the factory cab on my P7010 was about $5,000 extra but it is glass and steel with AC and heat and stereo plus windshield washers/wipers front and rear, side mirrors plus 4 extra lights and turn signals. It also has a top vent panel large enough to crawl out of if needed , rear opening window and even a special lock feature that allow you to lock the doors while leaving a 3" or so opening for air ventilation if you don't want to run the AC. An after market cab (link provided by TBN member) with just AC/ Heat, Stereo and mirrors ( all the options listed) was priced on line for $9,000 and didn't include installation. The cab ran me $1800. I thought it was a little high but I'll be happy I have it this winter.
I don't know how OEM can put one on for $5K and yet lesser quality aftermarket guys want double price with less features. I guess we don't need to let the OEM guys know what the after market guys charge though.
