I plant food plots and use a lot of small seeds, i.e., clovers, rape, chicory, etc. The germination rate can suffer with these small type seeds if disked under very deep. Even something like a chain link drag can cover lots of seeds too deep. A cultipacker is an ideal attachment to prepare a seedbed for small seeds. I have been looking for a used cultipacker for a long time. There are plenty out there at auctions and on used equipment lots; however, they are almost always the pull type. Since I plant small fields without much turnaround room, I have wanted a 3pt. hitch model and they just aren't to be found used. I finally bit the bullet and bought a new one. Here are some pics.
P.S. Don't tell my wife. She has been wanting a new refrigerator.
