New Toy Tractor On Order For Christmas

Cinder - that is a nice setup!

I priced out a JD 3520 locally last weekend and the CDN price has come down quite a bit. I've put off thinking about a trade until the spring but I too found that with JD I could come up with a local deal that I could live with.

Not (yet) so with Kubota. So if I do decide to trade, JD and Kioti will have the advantage in Canada.

I really like the diverter kit that JD offers as an option - around $1000. Allows you to get two more rear outlets without requiring another valve. I think that is worth getting along with the power beyond as mentioned + the extra rear SCV.

Thanks for your comments.

Last time I spoke with Kubota store, got the "Kubota Canada is a separate company" routine regarding pricing. Local Kioti is a corner store operation, plus the cracked loader thing tended to put me off.

Thanks to Lewis, PPG & GM for the BH feedback.

I'm not quite sure I am ready to jump to Kioti either. I like the tractor but they still have a ways to go to gain the reputation for quality that JD and Kubota have - and the longer term resale value.

The one thing they have going for me is that the new Kioti dealer near me is AWESOME. I mean better than all of the Kubota and JD dealers around.

I really really like the Kubota Grand Ls but as it sits they are a LOT more expensive than the equivalent JD. I liked the JD 3520 I tried but it wasn't enough of a jump up from my L3400 for me to consider trading now.

Ultimately I want to add a hoe and I'm not sure if I should just add it to my L3400 or go up to a cab tractor with a hoe that I will stay with for a LONG LONG time.

I'd appreciate knowing what deal was made generally. I'm now talking to my dealer about trading my 2520 on a3320. Craig

GM good luck on the upcoming Deal.

Based upon past experience, and my current 46bh w/13" bucket, I would consider the 16" at the minimum, but lean toward the 20".
On the new 3320 I'm looking at, I'm considering the 18" HD bucket for the 448bh as a minimum.
Thanks again for your help!

Have you considered two buckets, one small (smaller, slower, more cautious digs) and one large (quick digs)?
