I picke dthis up this weekend, and almost forgot to talk about it.
I had been wanting to get a seeder / spreader to do some planting, but most of the units I saw were huge.. and I wanted to get something that my New holland and my smaller yanmar could use. I found a spreader at tractor supply. 3pt mount, and it uses a flexible pto shaft.. rather ingenious ( hope it lasts ).
Nice setup... light enough to pick up and mount by yourself, especially if the wife slides the lock pins in for you.
My wife used to be anti tractor.. but I try to include her with it, to get her used to it.
She won't actuallyuse it yet, but if we are driving around and she sees an impliment I don't have, she points at it and says
'do we need one of those ?'
If I finish discing the pasture this weekend, i may seed it too. If so, I;ll post about the spreader. I believe it holds about 1.5 bushels of seed.
Anyone have any experience with these, and know any do's/don'ts?
Chris
